Do you want to develop advanced technology that reduces emissions from boats?

Embedded Software Engineer / Electronics Engineer

At Pascal Technologies, we develop energy-efficient technology for boats and ships. We build electric- and hybrid propulsion systems, and we have developed AirHull technology, a hull technology that cuts the energy consumption of boats by up to 50%.

We are now looking for new colleagues to join our development team. We are looking for someone with experience in software and electronics development who wants to take part in developing high-tech products that contribute to emissions reduction in the maritime industry. We work with both hardware and software, covering system architecture, coding, PCB design, and wiring harness design. You must enjoy cross-disciplinary work, and your day-to-day may include hands-on tasks, troubleshooting, testing, commissioning of new systems, as well as product development. We are experiencing increased delivery pressure, so some travel both domestically and internationally should be expected.

What you will be working on:

- Develop technology for electric and hybrid boats with superior range and speed.

- Develop robust software and electronics for use in our boats.

- Analyze operational data to improve our boats.

- Contribute to the development of overall software and system architecture.

- Commissioning systems on boats, installing and testing systems at customer sites.

Who we are looking for:

- Background in electronics, cybernetics, computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent.

- Experience with embedded software.

- Comfortable working with physical systems and interested in hands-on work.

- We believe you have 3–7 years of relevant experience, but we are flexible!

- Experience using AI and new technologies for product development.

- Bonus if you have experience with electric propulsion systems, batteries, electric motors, charging systems, or PLC programming!

Not a perfect match? Get in touch anyway. We hire people, not CVs!

What you get:

- A job where you actually see what you build out on the water, not just on a screen.

- The opportunity to work with both hardware and software.

- Become part of a highly skilled and innovative environment.

- Office at Skøyen in Oslo.

Maria Skårdal

Senior software engineer

Working at Pascal Technologies as a software developer is truly a fun experience. Few places give you the opportunity to work with the entire technology stack, from the low layers of bits and bytes to cloud solutions and UX design. It's exciting to write code in the morning and see it come alive on our boats in the afternoon. The creative, solution-oriented and supportive spirit in the team makes Pascal a great place to work!

Johann Brosvik

Design engineer

Working as a designer at Pascal is really rewarding! I get to both visualize the boats of the future in 3D, and work on actually bringing them to life. In my eyes, the textbook definition of the perfect job which combines my love for design with new technology!

Henrik Gjemdal

Senior engineer - product development

Why does a new technology have to be immature in early phases? Developing electric boats to be long range, reliable and high performing from day one is my main motivation in this fast paced company!

Lars Lied

Software engineer

My workdays are always exciting and varied—one day I’m diving into C coding or hardware design, and the next I’m out on the boat testing our systems. The team here is incredibly supportive and friendly, making every challenge something we tackle together. I love how we adapt quickly to new problems, solving them in a practical way that makes me feel like I’m really contributing and growing in my role
