Try one of our AirHull-enabled boats
Oslo
At Pascal Technologies, we are developing the future of electric boats with AirHull technology, a patented air-cushion technology that reduces resistance and doubles the range of electric boats. We have many exciting challenges to tackle and are now looking for students from cybernetics, electrical engineering, computer science, and data science who want to work with us next summer.
Students from cybernetics, electrical engineering, computer science, and data science
Become part of Pascal's software team and help make our boats fly! The software team is responsible for the development of all software and electronics on our boats and the associated support systems. We are now looking for motivated and self-driven students who want to help us develop the next generation of electric boats!
We manage the entire value chain, from low-level control of sensors and actuators, to intelligent algorithms that ensure energy efficiency, to land-based systems that enable us to monitor boats in real-time and seamlessly deliver over-the-air updates. We write our code in-house, meaning your work will be crucial in developing solutions for our next electric boats.
Your responsibilities may include designing and implementing (we do not expect you to have prior knowledge in all the areas listed below):
- The control system that regulates the boat's air-cushion system (cybernetics/machine learning)
- Electrical engineering – design, development, and selection of hardware
- Backend development of our IoT system for remote monitoring of the boats
- Frontend development of our onboard HMI and cloud-based analysis tools
- Analysis of operational data from our boats to gain new insights into performance
- Battery management systems
Recommended profile (you do not need to meet all the criteria below; the most important thing is that you are motivated to learn more and eager to develop the next generation of electric boats with us):
- 3rd-4th year student in cybernetics, electrical engineering, computer science, data science, or similar fields
- Motivated and self-driven with an interest in software and system development
- Experience with one or more of the following: Linux, cybersecurity, AWS, C++, Python, Node.js, database design, frontend, backend, IoT systems, embedded systems, machine learning, optimization, battery systems, propulsion systems
What we offer:
- Work in a rapidly growing maritime technology company
- Be part of designing and building the next generation of electric boats
- Summer job in Oslo
- Opportunity for project work and master's thesis for 4th-year students
- Tailor the internship to your interests and areas of expertise
- Join a social work environment
